WELCOME TO RICCALLISH ALLSORTS
Riccallish Allsorts have been producing drama in Riccall for more than 20 years and, since the pandemic, we’ve been discussing how to expand the group and move forward.
We’re putting the emphasis on 'Allsorts' and in future we plan to not only produce pantomimes, but also plays, Murder Mysteries, Street Theatre and Film Projects. We also want to create work written locally.
We also want to put much more focus on supporting local good causes if we make a surplus on our projects.
Many talented individuals around Selby perform in village pantomimes but then take a break for the rest of the year. We hope to attract and welcome people from the other local villages to come and do projects with us, when they’re not performing elsewhere.
We invite you to browse the pages of this website and get in touch regarding our upcoming projects.
ABOUT US
Based in Riccall at the Regen Centre, Riccallish Allsorts is an Amateur Dramatics Group made up of "Allsorts" of shapes, sizes and characters, with one aim... to put a smile on the face of our audience and ourselves. From pantomimes to murder mysteries to comedy farces we have something for everyone.
Riccallish Allsorts is renowned locally for its yearly pantomime performances, where our chorus members are an integral part of the team and are appreciated for their individuality, efforts and talent. Some of them are as young as eight!
Although many of our cast members live in the village, we have budding thespians young and old joining us from Barlby, Osgodby; even Selby. So, if your little star has a passion for singing, dancing or has a dramatic flair, Riccallish Allsorts will find a way to help them shine.
We have a knowledgeable crew of people already who help us out backstage with setbuilding, makeup and chaperoning the chorus. However, we do need more of you, so if you are interested in behind the scenes production, let us know. We would welcome the help!
Why not come along to our next performance or, even better, come and join us?
RICCALLISH ALLSORTS AT A GLANCE
We are dedicated to serving our local community, both with teaching stagecraft as well as with our charitable donations. Some of our previous cast members have gone on to have rewarding careers in theatre. We are proud to support numerous local charities from our performances, and we could not do this without the ongoing support of our village and the people of Selby.
"Wave after wave of love flooded the stage and washed over me, the beginning of the one great durable romance of my life."
